Basic and Advanced Erosion Control Practices for Contractors

Tuesday, March 5, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Bangor Parks and Rec

This course is necessary to become certified in erosion control practices by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. In addition to sections on "Why Erosion Control is Important", and "Erosion and How it Happens", participants are provided with information on the proper selection, installation and maintenance of practices such as sediment barriers, mulch, vegetative stabilization, riprap, etc. The course is of primary interest to contractors but could also be helpful to municipal code enforcement officers, consultants, engineers and public works employees.  Cost $60 per person.
