Spring Trout Stocking Program Ordering Information

We are pleased to announce the Spring trout Sale! This spring we will have both brook and rainbow trout available.

Trout orders are to be picked up in our parking lot at the USDA Service Center at 1428 Broadway in Bangor on:

• May 20th for Rainbow Trout
• May 21st for Brook Trout

Valid Stocking permits from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife must be obtained before you can pick up your fish. A copy of your approved stocking permit and your order must be submitted to us by May 18, 2007.

To obtain a stocking permit please, contact our office, or click here. Any permitting questions must be directed to the IF&W at (207) 287-5202. Please allow IF&W two weeks to process your application. If you have obtained a 5 year permit you must bring it with you on the pickup day. Please note that IF&W is now charging $10 for a 5 year permit. If you have an existing permit you will not be charged until you renew. There will also be a $5 fee for replacement copies.

It is extremely important that your fish are picked up at noon. The oxygen bags can only support the fish for a limited time, late in the afternoon the fish may begin to suffocate. We want your fish to make it to their new home safely.

Due to banking fees there is a small handling fee for ordering trout online.
